Dr. Tobias Abeln Joins AVIMETAL to Drive Metal 3D Printing Innovation

On August 7th, AVIMETAL’s metal 3D printing equipment business reached a pivotal moment in its global strategic expansion—Dr. Tobias Abeln, former CTO of EOS GmbH and a globally renowned expert in additive manufacturing and equipment engineering, officially joined AVIMETAL as Technical Advisor. He will spearhead the company’s innovation and R&D efforts in equipment technology, bringing comprehensive expertise to the table.

 

A Milestone in AVIMETAL’s Global Development

The signing ceremony was held at AVIMETAL’s Xuzhou Air Harbor base, attended by senior executives including Gao Zhengjiang, General Manager of AVIMETAL; Li Fachang, General Manager of the Equipment Division; Teng Yun, HR Director; and Gao Ge, Marketing Director.

His involvement will help AVIMETAL build a more professional and scientific R&D system, accelerating the entry of domestic metal 3D printing equipment into international high-end application markets.

Since joining, Dr. Abeln has led multiple technical workshops with the equipment R&D team. He has also visited AVIMETAL’s production lines to review the progress of full-series metal 3D printing equipment.

In addition, he toured the company’s metal powder production facility, gaining a full understanding of AVIMETAL’s “materials + equipment” collaborative innovation model, which integrates powder manufacturing with equipment development to create a complete additive manufacturing ecosystem.
